My admiration and respect – FOREVER – to this beautiful Lady that created with Bejárt the “table role” of his “Boléro”.
An amazing dancer!
During the seventies I remember watching the whole "Boléro", with her and the Ballet de XXiéme Siécle, at a film exhibition promoted by the culture departmment of the belgium Consulate in Rio de Janeiro.
Her husband, André Vandernoot, conducted this beautiful live performance from 1961!
Does anyone know where a copy of this masterpiece could be found?

ResponderExcluirBéjart ensaia pro Bolèro.Me lembro tantos que o dançaram desde se verdade Patrick Belda marido de Laura Proença minha amiga e uma das primeiras bailarinas dele na época, digo isso porque sempre quando voltavam ao Rio, nós eu e Paulinho emprestávamos filmes nossos pra eles.Depois Jorge Don et Marcia Haydé também minha ex- amiga. Enfim... era a masterpiece dele.Penso que muitos outros dançaram.... Histórias e cada vêz mais historias a serem contadas e filmadas por você o grande
artista que nos leva pra tempos que infelizmente estão tão longe de nós....Muito agradecemos seu carinho eterno por tantos aprendizados e tanta beleza.Beijos.Regina e Roberto.

He's got the "Bolero-video" (a wonderful black and white film from the 60's) and he's going to post it! Looking forward to that... I haven't seen it since... well, better not say that!
